hi one off my cavs seems to have an eye problem runny eyes with a red tinge to the eye local vets unsure ?

My cavalier's eyes have always ran, but has always been clear fluid. Vet has told me it is allergies.

I was told to feed my cavalier puppy, food that doesn't contain corn due to this breed having high allergy problems with this vegatable.If anyone has any suggestions for food types please let me know,my email addy is "tiny451958@yahoo.com."I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.My pup also has drainage from his eyes but I take a warm washcloth and wipe them out and that helps, I only have to do that approximately 3 times a week and it seems like it helps him but when he goes out after the grass is cut the drainage gets worse so it is an allergy to fresh cut grass and maybe even pollen in the air.
